Client's are not required to show any dirtcheapwebsites.com advertising except for a webmaster link at the bottom of each page of your website. Our Website Plans Prices allow that the webmaster link be left off for the charge of $1 per website page per year. See "Webmaster Links" below.

Artwork
Clients usually already have their own existing artwork designed and in use. If this art is to be used for the website it must be provided in the best quality digital format available. Ask us first.

If the material is of poor quality or needs High Resolution Scanning or Touch -Up the Editing Prices will be applied as deemed appropiate.

Artwork, Raw Files
We will be happy to work with any needs you might have when printing business cards and advertising, etc. Simply provide a portable USB Storage Device to store the data.

Bandwidth Usage
At this time, all dirtcheapwebsites.com clients get unlimited Bandwidth usage with their websites as long as there are no excessive or questionable uses of Bandwidth. In the event that Bandwidth Stealing or any other method exists or develops in which a Client 's website exceeds existing normal Bandwidth usage, then a Maximum Bandwidth Usage filter will be applied and a Bandwidth upgrade required.

Cancellations
Cancellations for new website orders are accepted however deposits are non-refundable.

Change Orders
Clients with Update Plans are permitted to submit change orders for website and design work already in progress. However, if the Change Order is significant or the work in progress is already near completion, then the Change will be scheduled for the next update.

Client Relationships
We are encouraged to maintain a pro-active
Client / Webmaster relationship. In the event that this breaks down then the website's account will become suspended until a suitable resolution can be reached. A $100 re-activation fee may be applied to reinstate the account.

Complaints, Internet Abuse
dirtcheapwebsites.com is responsable for what it does. Any reports of Internet Abuse received by the Webmaster will be documented and could lead to cancellation of your account with us.

Content
Text, Photos, Images and everything else on your website is called Content. Unless otherwise agreed upon, the Client is responsable for providing whatever Content is used on the website in a suitable usable format. Ask us first. Onsite Photography, Copywriting and creating art for your website is available at the rates shown on the Menuboard.

Copyrights
The Client is required abide by all prevailing Copyright laws of all content on their website.

Copywriting
We can provide whatever Content Text is to be used on your website if it is not available to or provided by the Client, at the rates shown on the Menuboard.

Delays and Deadlines
The Deadlines and Updates for your website must be done in the manner and timeframe allowed for as describe were shown in the Updates Schedule.

Except for Payment of Money, there are no penalties for delays the Client may incurre during acquiring and submitting their Content, Artwork or Updates, etc. In these situations the work will be postponed and re-scheduled until after the material is submitted.

In the event that dirtcheapwebsites.com becomes delayed we will do our best to get back on schedule, however due to unforseen circumstances there may be times when deadlines may have to be pushed back.

Disruption of Service
In the event that any disruption of service exists there shall be no claim for disruptions lasting less than 24 consecutive hours.

Domain Name Choice
What you name your website, the Domain Name, can be very important to you if you are intrested in website Search Engine Optimization. Ask us first if you don't already have your Domain Name and we'll show you how to search to find out which of the names you like are available to buy and not already registered to somebody else.

Domain Registrar
Unless you already have one, I want you to use my Registrar. This is because of the relationship that I have already established with them. Their Tech Support and Customer Service has been very good.

You don't have to but if you already have a Domain Name I would like you to Transfer your Account to my Registrar. This is to have their Tech Support when I need it.

You may stay with your Registrar. Have them "Point" your address to the dirtcheapwebsites.com address. It will be the Clients responsability to contact their Registrar to resolve all issues and in any event where there is a need for Registrar Tech Support.

Domain Renewal
You will own your Domain Name and are solely responsable for maintaining the renewal fees with whoever the Registrar is.

Domain Transferring
If you don't know about Domain Name Hijacking and how to lock your Domain Name you might want to transfer your Domain to my Registrar where I'll take over the datails. There are no fees associated with transferring a Domain Name to another Registrar and any current paid in advance registration you already have remains in effect until it expires at which time renewal payment will be paid to the current Registrar at their Rates.

Downtime
Disruptions in server or internet services can occure at any time for any number of reasons. Anything lasting less than 24 hours
shall not be cause for complaint or claims.

Emergencies
Client emergencies are legitimate concern to us that we try to provide for it. Depending on priority of importance, some work or website updates, etc. may become temporarily delayed.

File Ownership
The Client owns all website files that are downloadable from the website's URL address. This includes Source Code, Images and Content but does not include any code that requires a license or fee for use or anything that the Client is not entitled to own.

All website artwork that was generated in the creative process that is not already downloadable from the live website shall remain the sole property of dirtcheapwebsites.com, regardless of format, etc.

In the event that the Client wants to move their website off our server or wants ownership of the raw files, a value for the work will be assessed and after payment the Files will be copied to a USB File Storage Device supplied by the Client.

Hand Coding
Asking to have your website hand coded, typing out all of the source code by hand, is like asking your general contractor to build you a house with only a hammer and a hand saw. If you want you website hand coded, please add 400% to the Total Price. Updates will be billed by the Hourly Rate.

Hosting Websites
Website Hosting is Free for the First Year. After that Website Hosting is billed in advance at $1 per page per year.

Internet Abuse
dirtcheapwebsites.com is responsable for what it does. Any reports of Internet Abuse received by the Webmaster will be documented and could lead to cancellation of your contract with us.

Licenses, Paying
dirtcheapwebsites.com uses Resources and Code available from all over the Internet.

Some of this material may require licensing or purchasing for Commercial Use or after a Trial Period. We will set these scripts up for you on your website for evaluation purproses but we do not pay license fees or sell source code.

The Client shall remain solely responsable for contacting the other party and fees.

Unless authorized or requested by the Client no Code which displays outbound links or generates popups will be used.

Minimum Charges
A minimum charge of $20 is applicable for all Design work and $75 for SEO.

Payment
We take Cash, Check and Major Credit Cards. Bounced checks incurre a $30 charge.

Pre-Payment
All Jumbo and Delux websites are required to be paid in full at the time of ordering. All other website orders are paid 50% in advance and 50% in 30 days or when the website goes Live online regardless of whether it is 100% completed.

Pictures
Client is responsable for providing all images used on the website and copyright fees. We can help you with tips on how to find and collect Free images off the internet.

Images need to be provided in the highest quality and resoultion available. Images not of good quality and require editing will be assessed the Hourly rate for Image Editing .

Problem Resolution
In the event that the Client / Webmaster relationship becomes habitually problematic the website account will be suspended and the website removed from the Internet until resolution is acheived.

Prices
All prices are subject to change with out notice.

Privacy
We do not use recurring advertising and will not provide Client information with a court order.

Publishing a Website
Putting your website on the internet is just as if you published a book. When considering who does what, think of you wanting to have your own book about Widgets. Your task is to assemble the images and text you want to use on your website and provide it to the publisher for designing and printing the book.

Refunds
There are no refunds for deposits or websites that have gone Live on the Internet.

Royalties
Client is responsable for paying all compensation required for content used on their website.

Scanning Documents
For quality reasons, all pictures, artwork and documents that need to be digitized or "scanned" need to be done at the highest resolution possible. Please ask first.

Higher quality and resolution images will always take a little longer to work with because the file size of each image is so much higher than poorer quality images. Computer processing and handling of images over 1mb in file size can take alot longer and could cost more to edit depending on the usage expected.

Scheduling Work
All Client website work and administrative needs follows a work schedule. New work, emergencies and administrative tasks will be scheduled to be completed by the deadline or as soon as possible if it involves Domain Registration or like interaction with other institutions.

Scripts Compatability
In some circumstances a script or combination of code and scripts will malfunction by showing a glitch or causing the page to not work at all. This is called "page breaking". In situations where the compatability or conflict cannot be resolved the Webmaster will advise the Client and a suitable substitute script will be acquired if available. At Client's request a coder skilled in troubleshooting code compatability problems will be sought out at Client's expense.

Search Engines Optimization (SEO)
The SEO methods and strategy used by web designers varies from person to person and Company to Company. None of the 'experts' agree on everything. Exactly what SEO is most important and what works best is the source of endless rhetorical discussions in SEO "experts" Forums.
The bottom line is, the different ways Yahoo and Google indexes a website is a secret and they change their methods and results frequently.

dirtcheapwebsites.com uses an SEO strategy that has been developed through applying a combination of compatable web design and SEO factors which has been successful in acheiving Page 1 search listings. We do not use SEO spamming methods, Link Farms or methods likely to cause a website to be banned for SEO abuse.

In all cases, the exact reason or way an SEO method is used is not for full disclosure. Think of it as "secret sauce" who's exact recipe is a trade secret. Because of frequently changing SEO standards, we reserve the right to change or abandon SEO methods considered no longer advantageous or that could even be detrimental to listings.

Site Ownership
The Client owns the website, the Domain Name and all content of the website that is currently up on the live website and is responsable for paying the Domain Registration to their Registrar.

Spamming
Any Client accounts who have domonstrated or are engaged in internet abuse including "Spamming" will be cancelled.

Submitting Updates
The Submitting Updates Schedule is used so that preparation for work for all Clients can procede in a timely and organized manner.

Unless otherwise agreed upon, all Client Updates are required to be submitted a minimum of 30 days prior to the month of insertion. For example, if your update is to be uploaded in July, then your update needs to be submitted by June 1, 30 days before.

Update work production will follow in the order Client updates are received, however this is not a rule and may not always be the case.

Submitting Website
Website submission to the major Search Engines and Directories will be done according to the methods the Webmaster deems appropiate at the time and is totally the work for the Webmaster. Clients who are interested to submitting their websites to any Specialty Search Engines should confer with us first about expectations.

Suspensions
For whatever reason it might happen, any Account which becomes Suspended will be charged $100 for re-instating the account.

Tech Support
For the most part, there is no need for Tech Support to the Client . If there is a problem with how a web page is functioning the Client need only inform the Webmaster.

In most cases, online Tech Support for any particular program or script is reserved to the person who has the license which will be dirtcheapwebsites.com unless the Client has paid the License.

Templates, Dreamweaver
Generally, there 2 types of "templates" used in web design. The Dreamweaver website layout and design program made by Macromedia uses it's own "Dreamweaver Templates". When utilized in the beginning of the website construction, these templates allow for future large website updating and error correcting across an entire website. It is a very powerful tool.

Templates, Website
dirtcheapwebsites.com has several hundred generic "premade" website designs to look at and use as idea starters or for the whole website "as is". These are called "website templates" also and are totally different from Dreamweaver's "website templates". Most of these pre-made templates include very nice art work and images. The Client pays no licensing fees for the use of any of these Templates. They are already paid for.

Text Formatting and Submitting
All text content has to be submitted in a digital format WITHOUT any formatting. Ask us first. This could be via email or USB storage device.

All text content submitted on paper will require Transcription fees.

Timelines
Things take time and there is a natural progression to follow in registering, designing, building and going 'live' with a website. There really is no reason to want to 'rush ' through this process anymore than you would want to "hurry up" to build your house and there are innumerable conflicts which will arise from time to time which have to be resolved.

If time is important to the Client, it is best advised that you have your domain name already secured, and all of your content ready in digital format for giving to the Webmaster ASAP and we'll get things gong!

Webmaster Links
There are several reasons to have your Webmaster link on the bottom of your website pages. It helps your Webmaster, and it helps keep track of typos, broken links and abnomalities that might be observed by someone viewing the Client's website using an older Browser or computer OS that isn't generally supported anymore, for example.

The webmaster link is the only 'advertising' dirtcheapwebsites.com will ever do on your website, however, it is not mandatory and if you don't like it, it will be removed and in exchange a fee of $1 per year per pa-ge will be assessed and paid in advance.
