Designs That Don't Work

Framesets
The only reason that Framesets have
to be considered as a bad design is because of the search
engine issue. Other than that, once mastered, framesets
are great to create with.
There are ways to design in frames
and still do well in the search engines results but regardless
of what strategy or extra effort you use to rank higher
you still have to apply the Lottery Rule in the end. If
you don't know it here it is ...
~ The Lottery Rule
~
Pick what wins and
don't pick what doesn't win.
You're not guaranteed to win the
lottery but if you played the lottery and knew that picking
certain numbers over others gave you better odds of winning
you'd pick those numbers to win. Right?
If you knew that picking certain
web design ideas over others gave you better odds of winning
top placement with search engines you'd pick those designs
to win. Right?
If you wanted to win top search
engine placement you wouldn't pick ideas that would make
your chances worse. Right ?
Pick what wins and
don't pick what doesn't win.
That's the Lottery Rule.
Regardless of whether the problems
with framesets are folklore or fact, if you chose to design
in framesets you're breaking the Lottery Rule and lessening
your chances, so why do it. Right ?
