| Everything
described in 'The 10 Secrets of Web Design' are
common sense approaches to internet marketing. Use
this tutorial as both a check-off list to evaluate
your website, and as a way to balance out your website
ideas so that you don't inadvertantly commit some
needlessly offensive mistake.
Your website designer should be learned
and knowledgeable about these things and responsable
for helping you understand.
If this relationship doesn't exist then
you will have to involve an additional web developer
to analize and make recommendations about why your
website fails to promote you on the internet. Then
you'll have to pay your designer or someone else
again to change your website.
At this point you'll be throwing good
money after bad. From there it won't be long before
you start losing interest in your website altogether
and abandon it when the smart thing to do would
have been to dump the design and start with a design
that works.
